Open Water Divers see Whaleshark @ Chumphon Pinnacle

One Lucky group of Open Water Divers were fortunate enough to dive with the rare Whaleshark on dive three! of the their Open Water Course, CD Kenji Takahashi's group was being filmed by Hiroshi Nagao during the Open Water course when the largest fish in the ocean was sited. they had an amazing 20 minutes with the Whaleshark and below are some snapshots of the dive. Chumpon Pinnacle sharks identified... published paper

There has been a long debate on what species of sharks we have at Chumphon Pinnacle in Koh Tao, now The Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Euresearch Zurich, has published a paper identifying what shaks we do accually get at Chumphon Pinnacle. Download the paper here

Pro Video Course finished

After three weeks Malcolm Storey has just finished his DDP Pro Video course, the final task was to film students from CDR's Open Water classes. This was a great success and now Malcolm is already talking about the intern program on his return to the island next year. Good work! .see Malcolm Storey


Sharks @ Chumphon Pinnacle

What a few days student Malcolm Storey has had filming, today Jace Green and Malcolm visited the famous Chumphon Pinnacle and White Rock, both dives turned out some great marine life. Sharks were sited at Chumphon and a banded seasnake at White Rock. click here

Half way through DDP pro course

Malcolm Storey is now half way through his DDP Professional Videographer Course and showing great progress, he is on schedule to complete by the end of next week, and have the opportunity to film one of Crystal Dive Resorts Open water courses, read here


Two DDP pro courses complete and into the intern program
